Her second, it is entitled “Backyard by the River” and contains five new and deeply personal songs, all in the folk-flavoured, easy-on-the-year pop style that has made the 24-year-old a firm radio, television and stage favourite in Switzerland.
Born and raised in the green hills of central Switzerland, Linda Elys first caught the public’s attention with her participation in the German television casting show Voice of Germany where she reached the final. Blessed with a personality as warm and extravert as her mellifluous and memorable melodies, she was an extremely popular choice a few months ago to carry off national Radio SRF’s coveted “Best Talent of the Year 2025” award. “Backyard by the River” is the perfect soundtrack to bring some springtime relief from the horrors of the daily global news bulletins.
