Chelan Heading For The Sun
Aiming to maintain the momentum whipped up by his album “Orange & Blue” (2022), producer/singer/songwriter Chelan has released a brand-new 7-track EP, “Run to the Sun” via own label, Staircase Recordings.
Quoting the likes of Dijon, Jordan Rakei and Kyle Dion as influences, Chelan’s style has one foot in an airy type of nu soul, the other in poppy electronica. Thanks to the success of “Orange & Blue”, he has gathered around 20’000 social media followers, plus nearly 6 million streams for the song Patterns featuring Nnavy alone. “Run to the Sun” continues along similar tracks but contains some remarkably candid and poignant lyrics about the artist’s mental health struggles.
