Pat Burgener – From Snowboard to Record Player

Having prepared the ground with four EPs that have generated more than ten million streams collectively, professional snowboarder and singer/songwriter Pat Burgener from Lausanne whets our appetite for a debut album proper with a brand-new mini-album. Entitled “PAT (First Wave)” it is out now via Irascible.

Pat’s laid-back style and his instantly memorable choruses are not a million miles away from those of another famous surfer of the waves, Jack Johnson. Precociously talented, Pat was called up for the Swiss national snowboarding team at the age of fourteen. It was the beginning of a career that brought him, amongst plenty of other honours, podium places at the World Championships in 2017 and 2019 as well as a 5th place at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeonchang, South Korea. His musical career began in 2014 when he was laid low with one of many sporting injuries. Pursuing a double career in music and snowboarding ever since, he has performed at the Montreux Festival and the Gurten Festival.
