Filewile
On May 28, just in time for the World Cup in South Africa, Filewile released a new single, «On The Run», featuring 340ml front-man Pedro Da Silva Pinto. The silky-smooth summer hit was conceived in Johannesburg, where the Mozambican dub reggae artist met the Swiss band on their African tour. Back in Bern, Filewile mixed Pedro’s velvety vocals with crisp beats, live bass by Mago Flück, juicy synth fanfares, plenty of delay and Joy Frempong’s backing vocals to produce a worthy successor to «Number One Kid», the first single from their «Blueskywell» album.

Thanks to a collaboration with a German PR firm the single «love (is a minefield)» was released in Germany and promptly found itself in rotation at a range of radio stations. The subsequently released album also earned glowing reviews, so the band will be heading back to Germany for open-air season, playing alongside acts like Die Fantastischen Vier at Stuttgart’s Heimspiel OA.
