Kejnu tour of Germany to coincide with album release
30 January saw the release in Germany of Kejnu’s impressive double CD album “Centillion”. It came out in Switzerland last year, garnering uniformly excellent reviews. Formed in the Eastern part of Switzerland around vocalist and guitarist Nuél Schoch who is also an artist and graphic designer, the four-piece also consists of Alessandro Giannelli (drums), Ramon Ziegler (synth, keyboards), and James Varghese (bass).
The influence of Radiohead is keenly felt in their attitude to music if not the music itself, but Kejnu are very much their own band. Strong on melody, they are never afraid to experiment with sound and rhythm, and they also don’t shy away from “big” themes in their lyrics.
“Centillion” was released on 30 January 2015 by Hamburg-based label-cum-360degree-company popup-records. To support the release, Kejnu will embark on a tour of Germany in February.
