These three Swiss acts are appearing live at this year’s Waves Vienna:
Blanche Biau: A visual artist from Zurich, Blanche Biau combines woozily shoe-gazerish guitars with 80s-style synths and eerie vocals to darkly atmospheric effect.
Gina Ete: A much-in-demand multi-instrumentalist and arranger, Eté describes her sumptuously multilayered music as “hybrid pop”. However complex her lyrics and arrangements are, she never loses sight of melodic beauty.
BEURRE: Consisting of members from Coilguns, Closet Disco Queen and Film 2, the Humus-signed experimental hyper-metal trio delve into dissonant heaviness to hypnotically ear-splitting effect.
