Switzerland @ Reeperbahn Festival 2025

It’s nearly autumn again – but we’re not complaining: “autumn”, according to our personal thesaurus, is a synonym for „Reeperbahn Festival”, one of Swiss Music Export’s favourite music events anywhere in the world. An invaluable barometer to tell us about impending changes in our musical weather, we couldn’t possibly miss the opportunity to introduce the Reeperbahn’s large and invariably enthusiastic crowd of music fans and business professionals to the latest wave of Swiss creativity.
Once again, we are looking forward to welcoming you to our Swiss Music Export day at the Spielbude. It starts with the Swiss Sunrise Social in the morning, continues with the Swiss Business Mixer in the afternoon, and ends with the Swiss Sunset Stage in the evening. One more showcase featuring Swiss acts as well as several performances by other Swiss artists as part of the normal festival programme are also confirmed.
To make the prospect of a trip to Hamburg even more irresistible, Swiss Music Export is able to offer a sizable discount on tickets to Swiss professionals.
To profit from this offer, please contact mixer@swiss-music-export.com.
Co-presented by Fondation SUISA, Pro Helvetia, Musikbüro Basel, Musikbüro Luzern, Popkredit Zürich and FCMA, we are happy to welcome you to the following events.
SME Events
SWISS SUNRISE SOCIAL | Friday 19 September 2025 | 10:00 – 12:30 | Spielbude XL
Our Swiss Sunrise Special offers an alluring oasis of calm before the storm of the festival day, perfect to collect ones’ thoughts after the previous night’s excitement, and organise the day ahead with new and old friends. Plus, the best coffee and croissants in town!
SWISS BUSINESS MIXER | Friday 19 September 2025 | 13:30 – 17:00 | Spielbude XL
The Swiss Business Mixer serves up a feast of music, cheese raclette, and, of course, Swiss white wine. Musical nourishment comes from Mel D, Nomuel, Sami Galbi and Jamila.
Attendance is free, as always, to accredited professionals. However, you will need to register via this link by Tuesday, 16 September 2025, 18:00.
Mel D 12:45 – 13:15
Mel D was previously known as half of Mischgewebe, a duo born from a theatre production that provided a dreamy blend of pop, pulsating acid house and spooky ambient sounds. Her solo work is quieter in mood and more personal in message.
Nomuel 13:50 – 14:20
A bunch of teenage friends falling into a band together, the youthful ensemble appears to be able to draw on an inexhaustible reservoir of super-catchy pop tunes, some of which they sing in French, some in English, some in German.
Jamila 14:55 – 15:25
Citing the likes of Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams and Phoebe Bridgers as influences, Jamila’s songs are an elegant and sumptuous blend of electronica and organic garnishes, ruminative and highly personal lyrics, and big melodies.
Sami Galbi 16:00 – 16:30
The Swiss-Moroccan producer rooted in Lausanne’s legendary squat scene serves up a captivating hybrid of North African folk, chaabi, Moroccan trap, and electronica.
SWISS SUNSET STAGE | Friday 19 September 2025 | 17:00 – 22:45 | Spielbude XL
Linda Elys 17:05 – 17:45
A Voice of Germany finalist, a singer/songwriter with a flair for memorably mellifluous melodies, will arrive in Hamburg fresh from a summer packed with festival appearances, including two shows linked to the UEFA Women’s Euro.
Lost in Lona 18:20 – 19:00
The band formed around producer/multi-instrumentalist Konstantin Aebli and singer Lidia Beck occupies a similar territory of quietly confident and melodiously introvert pop songs as their Mouthwatering label mates’ Black Sea Dahu.
Mary Middlefield 19:35 – 20:15
What makes singer/songwriter Mary Middlefield’s songs so captivating is her knack of setting unsettling lyrics to (mostly) acoustic guitar and string arrangements that ooze warmth, hope and positivity.
Seraina Telli 20:50 – 21:30
Mostly known for her rip-roaring metal delivery, Telli’s last record was a set of acoustic versions of her old songs. Judging by the first single from a new album promised for October, she is now back to her lung-busting, rocking loudest.
Nemo 22:05 – 21:30
The Swiss artist from Biel who rose to global fame after winning Eurovision 2024 delivers an eclectic fusion of pop, rock, and electronic, blending introspective lyrics with bold, boundary-pushing sound and a strong voice for inclusivity.
Orange Peel/Pleasure Productions/Selective Artists Showcase
Wednesday 17 September 2025 | 19:00 – 00:00 | Club 25
A showcase presenting acts from the Lucerne-based management/booking agency Orange Peel Agency, Swiss agency Pleasure Productions, and Hamburg/Berlin-based Selective Artists Agency.
AKRYL 19:40 – 20:20
Superior indie pop with German lyrics from a singer previously known as Lynn, the new name indicating an intriguing change of approach.
Milune 20:50 – 21:30
Citing influences like Billie Eilish, Clairo and Lana del Ray, Milune explores a wide range of queer emotions in the service of self-realisation and fulfilment.
Valentino Vivace 23:10 – 23:50
The surreally tailored and coiffured Valentino Vivace serves up a raucously nostalgic and yet totally contemporary new version of Italo-disco hipness.
Other Swiss acts at this year’s Reeperbahn Festival
Nomuel, Sami Galbi, Jamila and Mel D (see above) also perform as part of the Reeperbahn programme. Other Swiss acts scheduled to perform live are Soft Loft, Dennis Kiss, Velvet Two Stripes, Bikini Beach, Gina Eté and Panda Lux.
Soft Loft
The five-piece was formed to perform the fleetfooted indie songs of singer/songwriter Jorina Stamm. An impressive debut album was followed in spring 2025 by an EP, Modern Roses”, and rewarded with a calendar packed with live shows.
Dennis Kiss
Finding his spiritual home in the attitudes and the lifestyle of Hamburg, singer/songwriter Dennis Kiss returns with a new batch of classy story-songs performed with drive and subtlety by his new band.
Velvet Two Stripes
Velvet Two Stripes make no bones about it: they like their rock hard, straight and irresistible. Together for more than fifteen years, they are one of Switzerland tightest and best live bands.
Bikini Beach
Supercharged garage punk trio Bikini Beach take their inspiration from the classics, The Ramones and the Clash. And that’s no bad thing at all!
Gina Eté
By trade, Eté is a much-in-demand viola player and arranger. Solo, she uses the terms “hybrid pop” for her music. However complex her lyrics are, she never loses sight of melodic grace.
Panda Lux
Pre-viewing their new album «Herz», their fourth, the guitar-bass-drum-vox quartet of teenage friends continues to celebrate pop music with a dash of experiment and a deft line in smart German-language lyrics.
kk!
The newcomer’s beats oscillate between trap and G-funk, sometimes coming across as super busy, as on the “Meilenstein Sammler” EP (2024), while he delivers biographical lyrics with deadpan vocals at bedroom volume.
Vendredi sur Mer
The Swiss singer, songwriter, and photographer is at the forefront of a new generation of Francophone artists who are reaching millions of people with their varied arrangements and superbly produced pop sound.
