Black Sea Dahu Hitting Their Orbit

To keep them company on another mammoth tour, Black Sea Dahu are releasing a new EP via Mouthwatering Records on 11 November 2022. Entitled “Orbit”, it contains four new songs, all written by their singer, Janine Cathrein. The band formed around the two Cathrein sisters, Janine and Vera, has been on the road incessantly since the success of their single “In Case I Fall for You” for years ago. Whilst the pressures of an itinerant life have led to personnel changes in the band, they have not affected Janine’s ability to wrap her joys and sorrows in a beautiful song. With “Orbit”, the band have considerably expanded their stylistic range. The piano-led “Mind Power” especially surprises with an intricate string arrangement and even a hint of opera.

Black Sea Dahu’s present tour of the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany will take them through to mid-December. Another extensive tour of Germany is lined up for April 2023.
