Ay Wing Taps Into the Bloodstream
Three years after “Orange Dreamer”, a track that boasts six-figure downloads and has popped up in countless playlists, singer/songwriter/producer Ay Wing finally delivers her debut album. “Bloodstream” is available now via Mouthwatering Records.
Combining a featherlight touch with vocal melodies with beat-heavy R&B-inspired grooves and intimate, introspective lyrics, Berlin-based Ay Wing aka Alexandra Landtwing also manages to sprinkle her songs with a pinch of dark humour.
Here’s her latest Facebook posting: “I’m so happy and grateful to share with you my debut album „Bloodstream“. We poured our heart and soul into making this record… Bloodstream is about coming to terms with the realization that, after years of suppressing emotions, I had lost touch with my own body. In allowing myself to feel without judgment, I could address the inner conflict that was responsible for this tension, and translate my experience into music. This helped me understand myself, and those around me, a bit better.”
