Swiss Music Export @ Gurtenfestival, Berne

Swiss Music Export at the Gurtenfestival, Berne, Switzerland; 18 – 21 July 2013

Situated at the end of a bright red funicular railway, on top of a wooded hill just outside the capital city of Switzerland, Berne, the Gurtenfestival is one of the more picturesque festivals in Europe. With a history dating back to 1977, it is also one of the oldest-established events of this kind. Renowned for its adventurous programming as well as peaceful atmosphere, the Gurtenfestival regularly attracts not only some of the biggest names around, but also some of the most interesting. This year’s event will take place from 18 July to 21 July.

Business Mixer Friday 19 July, 15.30-17.00h at Pavillon Restaurant, Bar and Lounge (tent to the right of the Gurten funicular train station)

Once again, Swiss Music Export in collaboration with Musikschaffende Schweiz will be organising a “Business Mixer”, a platform where Swiss and international music professionals will have an opportunity to mingle, get to know each other, refresh old contacts and exchange views. The Business Mixer will take place on Friday afternoon from 15.30h to 17.00h in the pleasant environs of the Pavillon Restaurant, Bar and Lounge (the tent to the right of the Gurten funicular train station). Cold beer and fresh bagels will be served.

Amongst the international guests attending the “Business Mixer” are: Dennis Adler (Burning Eagle Booking), Grant Box (Snowhite) and Arne Ghosh (380 Grad).

Anyone wishing to attend should register their name and position no later than Tuesday, 16 July by e-mail to mixer@swiss-music-export.com.

Important: this invitation is not connected with the Gurtenfestival itself. It does not permit access to any part of the festival area. The event takes place in the Pavillon which is outside the festival area. Therefore, no festival pass is required to attend this “Business Mixer”.

Amongst the Swiss artists scheduled to appear at the Gurtenfestival are 77 Bombay Street, Steff La Cheffe, the Animen, Sophie Hunger, Eluveitie, Lunik, Slag in Cullet, Zeno, We Invented Paris, Seven, Alvin Zealot, We Love Machines, Stefanie Heinzmann, Anna Kaenzig and Carrousel.
