Félicien LiA No Longer Crying
Félicien LiA is one of the most exciting voices of the burgeoning French Swiss “chanson” scene. Following on from his fantastic third album from 2018, “Des Feux des Fous”, he has now released a new five-track EP, “Au bout des larmes” (‘after the tears’) on 17 April 2020.
Barely in his thirties, LiA is a veteran of the Swiss music scene. Growing up in the rural canton of Jura, he joined ska band Ska Nerfs when he was still a teenager. Going solo in the early 2010s, it took him a while to find the confidence to follow his own musical instincts. “I had a way of singing very French songs in a style that mimicked artists I liked to listen to”, he says. It was the producer of his last album, Robin Girod from Cheptel Records, who gave him the confidence to believe in his own voice.
