120 concerts, 10 venues, countless conference events, three nights of party and the greatest sounds of tomorrow in the company of almost 6000 business professionals – plus, the whole of Paris to enjoy: what’s not to like! This year marks the tenth anniversary of the MaMA Festival & Convention in Paris. It is bound to be even an even more special affair than usual with a number of birthday surprises on top of the habitual smorgasbord of fab music. Would we, the Swiss, want to miss out on this very special fiesta? No, certainly not!
Once again, taking up a tradition that is now seven years old, Swiss Music Export, together with the Embassy of Switzerland in France, Fondation CMA and Fondation SUISA, invites you to the Swiss Business Mixer. As ever, our Business Mixer will offer a perfect mix of fine networking, fine Swiss food and wine, and, most of all, some of the best acts the richly varied Swiss music scene has to offer at present.

Sooma
Signed to Ambulance Recordings (“Indie con Cojones”), Sooma are a noisy punk grunge outfit from Zurich with a very superior grip on the dynamics of the classic guit./bs/drums power trio line-up. A well-honed live act, Sooma will stop off in Paris as part of a 24-tour European tour.
Black Sea Dahu
Fronted by the charismatic singer/songwriter Janine Cathrein from Zurich, the folky Black Sea Dahu have already conquered a vast slew of Europe thanks, not least, to their irresistible single “In Case I Fall For You”. With a new EP to present, “No Fire in the Sand”, Paris is their first French stop-off in the course of a 52-date (!) European tour.

With Oh Mu, another Swiss act is scheduled to appear at MaMA Festival. The 24 year old singer from Martigny, now based in Paris, offers a beguiling mixture of electronic grooves, captivating visuals and headily memorable melodies.
