Three years after her highly praised debut, synthwave singer/songwriter Sandor follows this up with a new album entitled “La Médaille”. It was released on 3 February 2023 on Ouragan Records.

Based in Sierre in the French part of Switzerland, Sandor’s muse is steeped as deeply in French chanson as it is in 1980s synth pop. However, whilst her debut wore its love of Yazoo and early Depeche Mode on its sleeve, “La Médaille”, whilst not abandoning those roots altogether and retaining the chansonesque melodic core, is a harder-edged and darker affair. All songs were written by the singer herself, with the intriguing exception of a quote from 19^th century French poet, playwright and novelist Alfred de Musset in a track called “Molosse”, and a co-writing credit for Vincent Bossy for “Oui Amen”. Like its predecessor, the album was produced by Bossy in Lausanne.
