„City Boy“ Edb Hits his Stride

Edb is the somewhat mysterious name of a 21-year old singer/songwriter from Bern, and “City Boy” is his debut EP. It was released in mid-April by Sony Music Entertainment Switzerland.

Edb established himself as a teenager in Bern’s vibrant rap scene. “City Boy” marks both a new beginning and the coming of age. Still expressing his thoughts in the deeply melodic dialect of his native canton, he turns out to be an expressive singer, too. Blessed with a voice somewhere between Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi, his lyrics deal with the classic themes of early adulthood – the yearning for love, hope, and disappointment – with wit, warmth and humour. Co-written in part with Farsad Zoroofchi aka Fayzen, it is furnished with sumptuously rich arrangements by producers Matt Mendo, Bo Ebsen, Wings, Leve Niclas Bingen and Fayzen.
