Audrey Danza Laughing Multi-Dimensionally

With a long list of digital releases under her belt, DJ and producer Audrey Danza is joining the vinyl age with her latest EP, “Laughing in 4D”. The record is out now on Proxima/Motel Campo.

Cutting her teeth with a residency at Geneva’s multi-facetted Motel Campo club, in 2020, Audrey Danza launched her own Proxima imprint to revive a handful of obscure ‘80s and ‘90s tunes and to release her own productions and remixes. Splitting her time between Geneva and Berlin, she has become a close associate of the Sound Metaphors collective/record shop where “Laughing in 4D” is billed as “peak time techno trance floor fillers”.

Titles like “Martian Protein Shake” or “Fermented Daydream” give an indication of where Audrey’s psychedelically tinged mind and soul is at. Driving her tunes along with pounding techno beats, she likes to create an undertow of skittering extra beats, cascades of “kosmische” sci-fi noises or even slow-motion ambient sounds. As the PR blurb has it: “Hints of Psy-Trance, Techno, and House swirl through elastic grooves – equally suited for deep listening or peak-time disorientation”.
