Pina Palau Getting a Dog

Out now on Mouthwatering Records, Zurich-based singer/songwriter Pina Palau’s new album “Get a Dog” shows absolutely no symptoms of second-album syndrome. Supported by a clutch of ace musicians including drummer Mario Hänni (Trio Heinz Herbert), guitarist Vojko Hutter (District 5) and keyboarder Luzius Schuler (Alois), the nine songs on “Get a Dog” present a song-writer superbly confident of her voice and in control of her moves.

Part of Zurich’s vibrant music scene, Pina Palau “loves the incongruous, the contradictory, the petty, the awkward and the ugly found in all of us” and refers to her finely spun indiefolk songs as a “scuffed up mirror, because if you take the time to listen you will eventually see yourself in it.”
