From I to Infinity
Musique Infinie is a new collaboration between Noémi Büchi and Feldermelder. The first fruit of this venture is a debut album, “I”, is out now via –OUS/Shutter Music.
Noémi Büchi describes herself as a “composer and sound designer, creating electronic cross-genre maximalism”. Feldermelder aka Manuel Oberholzer is a multi-disciplinary artist, composer and co-founder of OUS Records, a record label that “explores electronic and experimental music with intention, depth and edges.” Having both been intensely busy with live performances as well as recordings over the past few years, they describe their first collaborative effort as a “musical hybridization…rooted in a shared desire to intertwine two composing veins, and to merge them into a new, massive core.” The resulting pieces offer a densely woven and multi-layered sonic experience spiked with subtle allusions, surprising turns and satisfyingly unexpected connections.
