Voice of Ruin even more ruined

29 September 2019 saw the release of “Acheron”, the third full-length album from death metal quintet Voice of Ruin (Tenacity Music/Plastic Head Distribution). Formed in 2009 by singer Randy Schaller, the band waited a full five years before they felt mature enough to record their debut. Since then they have supported a long list of metal bands on stages all over the world, including India and Nepal.

This from their biography: “Between tragic reality and fiction, Voice of Ruin draws its lyrical inspiration from both the darkest episodes of history and an imaginary future, ravaged by disease and human madness. On the musical side, the influences of the band, both modern and classic, have evolved over the years, but the style remains difficult to categorize. Some argue that Voice of Ruin distils a melodic death metal, while others will find notes of groove, thrash and even black metal.”

“Acheron” was produced in Gothenburg, Sweden, by Henrik Udd and Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, Arch Enemy, Architects, Dimmu Borgir, etc.).
