Sensu unfolding
Entitled “Unfold”, the London-based DJ and producer Sensu’s latest EP release, is out now via London’s Headroom Records. In the nine years since her earliest releases, Sensu has arrived at an unmistakeable style entirely of her own of multi-layered electro beats laced with snippets of triple-fried vocals and assorted sampled sound hooks. “Put it Down” and “Simple” are the standout tracks on this latest EP.
Born and raised in Baden, a small music town near Zurich, Sensu aka Jasmin Peterhans started playing the piano aged seven and spent the next ten years playing classical music before turning into a hip-hop fan and beginning to record her own tracks straight away. A three-month stay in London where she worked alongside fellow-producer OKAN (Tinie Tempah, Lost Girl, etc) and rising UK rapper Denyher, convinced her that London was the place to be.
