Velvet Two Stripes are back with a new EP

Velvet Two Stripes are celebrating the release of a new EP on 31 March with a special show at the Palace in their hometown, St. Gallen, followed by a number of gigs in Germany. The EP “Got me Good” is released via the German record label Snowhite and distributed worldwide by Rough Trade/Good to Go.

Formed in 2011 by the Diggelmann sisters, Sophie and Sara, with their friend, Franca Mock, Velvet Two Stripes – to take a hint from their name – took their cue from the likes of White Stripes, the Kills and Deep Vally to produce their very own take on bluesy garage rock. Their debut album in 2014 caught the raunch and dynamism of their live act well and led to an impressive touring schedule.

In order to increase the musical flexibility and the power of their live shows as well as their recordings, Velvet Two Stripes have replaced their drum machine with an organic drummer, made of flesh and blood, Carlo Caduff. Their new EP was produced by Tim Tautorat (Turbostaat, The Kooks, AnnenMayKantereit) and recorded at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin.
