The bianca Story’s third album „Digger“ release

Basel-based music and multi-media collective The bianca Story’s third album “Digger” will be released on 29. November on Motor Music. A special art/music event for the release is happening already at the 8th of November at the Michael Fuchs Galerie in Berlin-Mitte. As reported in these pages last month, the band is experimenting with a pioneering approach both to crowd-funding and marketing the album. With the full co-operation and support of Motor Music, using the Swiss crowd-surfing platform wemakeit.ch, The bianca Story are aiming to raise Euro 90’000, covering all recording, production and marketing costs as well as a fee for the musicians. If they reach the targeted amount, the album will become available as a free download to anyone who wants it. It is already clear that the band’s campaign is a remarkable success. At the time of writing, nine days before the end of the campaign, Euro 67’514 have been pledged, 75% of the target amount. Never before has a crowd funding campaign raised such a large amount of money in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

In order to further promote and explain this experiment, The bianca Story and Motor Music are organising a special art/music event at the Michael Fuchs Galerie in Berlin-Mitte. The band will be performing a handful of new songs “unplugged”, followed by a public discussion between bianca Story founder Elia Rediger, Motor Music head Tim Renner and special guest Dieter Meier, multi-media artist and co-founder/vocalist of sampling pioneers Yello.
