Seraina Telli is Turning Green

Less than a year after her innovative “Black’n’White Sessions” (one disc contained new acoustic versions of older songs, the other new versions with guest vocalists), here’s another super-charged dose of melodic metal from the prolific Seraina Telli. Released on 24 October via Cologne-based Metalville Records, “Green” has already settled at number one in the Swiss album charts.

Clearly, Seraina Telli is obsessed with colour. Before “Black’n’White” we had “Addicted to Color” – and now it’s “Green”. “Music appears in colour to me”, she says, “and Green is the first colour in a larger project”. With more electronic touches than her previous records, Telli is also exploring new non-rock ways of arranging songs without losing the rock edge of her voice. Hey, and there’s a high-octane version of the Beatles’ “Get Back”, too! “Thematically”, Telli explains, “the album revolves around the subject of responsibility – to others, the environment, and oneself.”
