Nemo Playing in the Arthouse
Out now via Universal Music is “Arthouse”, Nemo’s first album after their dazzling performance at the 2024 ESC finals. Having carried off the ESC trophy with the co-penned “The Code” (more than 100 million streams on Spotify alone), Nemo wisely took off time to move home towns twice (from Switzerland to London, first, then Paris) and rethink their musical direction. The resulting album offers a kaleidoscopic view of present-day glam clubbing grooves, garnished, of course, with Nemo’s unique personal style: breathtakingly elastic falsetto turns, near-operatic interludes, euphoric choruses, baroque arrangements and, as ever, deeply personal lyrics often linked with the quest for LGBTQIA+ rights.
“Arthouse” was produced by, amongst others, the French beat maker Sacha Rudy and Liam Maye, with Nemo sharing songwriting credits with Jez Ashurst (Little Mix, Leona Lewis), Maegan Cottone (Kylie Minogue, Post Malone) and PomPom (John Legend, Suki Waterhouse). Nemo is celebrating the album release with an extensive European tour in November and December.
