600+ gigs into their career, Blind Butcher celebrate another chapter in their wildly unpredictable career with a new album, their fifth. “Hekate” is out now on the Reverend Beat Man’s revered Voodoo Rhythm Records label. 

To dedicate their album to the dog-loving Greek goddess of magic and witchcraft clearly is a declaration of intent. Christian Aregger and Roland Bucher’s demented muse has never followed the well-trodden paths of mainstream rock’n’roll. Combining intense drumming with fiery guitar riffs and an assortment of magic pedals, the duo here serves up another hot stew of hard driving and surreally T.Rex-infused post-krautabilly swagger with joyously psychedelic intent. “Hekate” was recorded at the legendary Swamp Land Studio in Toulouse, France, and mastered in Detroit by Bill Skibbe at Third Man Mastering.
