Bikini Beach Feeling “Cursed” but oh so good!

Supercharged garage punk trio Bikini Beach unleash their latest dose of high-octane musical rocket fuel via Hamburg-based La Pochette Surprise Records. Called “Cursed”, it’s their seventh already – and it’s hotter still than anything they’ve done before.

Judging by the volcanic energy bursting from the grooves of “Cursed”, the adversity that came with Covid and the dark emotions the pandemic let loose, have lit a new fire on Bikini Beach. “We are aware that, on the one hand, we live in a super privileged society”, says the band, “but at the same time we are sometimes simply stunned by current events.” Infused with the spirit of classic Ramones and The Clash as well as a good dollop of The Lovely Eggs, “Cursed”, the album, is anything but…
