Pegasus Singing With Twisted Hearts

Pegasus are, without the shadow of a doubt, one of the most successful Swiss pop bands ever. Released in mid-January, “Twisted Hearts Club” (Gadget Records) is their eighth album and has already topped the Swiss charts with its sparkly, streamlined post-Take That sound.
And yet, it is by no means clear if this release marks the beginning of the end for Pegasus, or the beginning of a new start. The uncertainty is due to the curious fact that two original members, Simon Spahr (guitar, vox) and Gabriel Spahni (bass, vox), have announced their exit from the band for the end of 2025. And they did so virtually on the release day of “Twisted Hearts Club”. The band let it be known that the split was utterly amicable and the remaining members, singer and bandleader Noah Veraguth and drummer Stephan Brønner, have expressed their wish to continue under the same name. As the quartet always talked of their childhood bond as a major reason for their longevity and success, the outcome of such a venture is by no means clear.
According to Veraguth, the new situation is reflected by the album title: “It shows that our hearts no longer beat as one”. At the same time, he is unwilling to throw the towel: “Everything we have built up together is too important to me”, he says: “Too important to just let it go.”
