Temporary Sounds from One Sentence. Supervisor
“Temporär Musik 15 -19” is the intriguing title of the latest EP from One Sentence. Supervisor. Released via Irascible Records in December, it contains five more fine slices of psychedelically tinged post-Krautrock.
According to their main man, Donat Kaufmann, opener “How Many Others” deals with a “break from the capitalist system”; “Fly the Curse Like a Kite” is a plea to break from the idea that everything had to be judged and evaluated; “Mother Soul Alone” (a literal English translation of the German word mutterseelenallein) is a mediation on discovering the patience to be alone; “Don’t Let Go” and “Let Go”, finally, do what it says on the tin. Both tracks are apparently a perfect reflection of the situation One Sentence. Supervisor find themselves in at present. “The line-up of Donat Kaufmann, Jonas Oster, Andreas Hefti, Bahur Ghaz and Sarah Palin no longer exists”, it says in their press release. “The band is in the process of re-forming under the same name with familiar faces. Not today, though – maybe tomorrow, and most definitely sometime in the future.”
