Bandit Voyage Release the Gang
“Le Gang”, the ultra-rare cassette-only album by Genevan duo Bandit Voyage from a little while back, has been re-released in a vinyl edition that is no less limited than the original version. The contrarily exclusive release is a goodbye present to Cheptel Records after Bandit Voyage signed to a cult independent label in Paris whose name we’re not yet allowed to divulge.
Bandit Voyage are singer Anissa Cadelli and Robin Girod (also of Mama Rosin, Duck Duck Grey Duck, Space Age Sunset, amongst others). Guitar, bass and a drum machine with assorted effects are their only instruments. Theirs is a proudly lo-fi mixture of funky grooves, minimalist guitar riffs and funny post-punk attitude.
