Jessiquoi triggers a glitch!
“Glitch Trigger (Chapter 1)” is the title of Jessiquoi’s debut album, released on 17 May. For once, the description “hotly anticipated” is indeed appropriate. Jessiquoi won both the award for best electronica song and the overall “demo of the year” award at last year’s demo tape clinic at the m4music conference/festival in Zurich. She followed this up by a riveting live show at this year’s edition of m4music.
Hers is a spectacular blend of electronica, hip-hop and even K-Pop. Jessiquoi not only produces all her music herself, she is also responsible for all – often anime-influenced – visual aspects of her art, especially clothes and videos. Of course, she also looks after all aspects of her debut album release.
