The Jackets, new and improved with more fuzz than ever before

“10 Songs of Pure Raw Wild Swiss Psychedelic Fuzz Garage at its best, fronted by the wildest woman in Europe”, promises label chief the Reverend Beat-Man for the second Voodoo Rhythm album by The Jackets, “Queen of the Pill”. As ever, the Reverend gets it pretty much right. Alice Cooper called them “the real deal”, apparently, and Alice, too, is never wrong.

The Jackets are frontwoman Jack Torera (guitar, vocals), Schmidi Schmidiger (bass) and Chris Rosales (drums). Theirs is a joyous and raucous rock’n’roll, dirty enough to rouse the mummies from their tombs. “Queen of the Pill” is released on 14 June by Voodoo Rhythm Records. Distribution is pretty much worldwide, though handled by different companies in most territories.
