Cortez demand “No more Conquerers”

9 November 2018 sees the release of the third album by the Geneva-based Cortez, “No More Conquerors” on Basement Apes Records (France), Grains of Sand Records (Russia), Cheap Satanism  Records (Belgium), Get a Life! Records (Switzerland) and WOOAAARGH (rest of the world). It was produced by Raphael Bovey (Zatokrev, Impure Wilhelmina, Convulsif, etc.).

Cortez will need no introduction amongst connoisseurs of seriously heavy, out-there, post-hardcore metal. After their debut album released in 2005, the band has toured across Europe countless times, supporting the likes of Dillinger Escape Plan, Isis, Unsane, Jesu, Gojira, Burst, and the Ocean. Operating in a musical field where the word “crushing” is used to describe a positive vibe, the trio (a quartet, if you count Sam who is credited with “the eye”) serves up one of the most “crushing” live experiences available in Europe. They will be touring long and hard, needless to say, in support of the album.
