Sinplus “Up to Me” Album Release

After the release of their latest single “Phoenix from the Ashes” last October, January 17th sees the release of Sinplus’s second album, “Up to Me”.

Sinplus is Gabriel and Ivan Broggini, two brothers from Losone in the Italian part of Switzerland. Gabriel sings, and Ivan plays the guitar. As early as aged thirteen, both were in bands – separate bands. It was only after Gabriel had temporarily moved to San Diego he realised that Ivan was his ideal musical partner after all. Back in Switzerland, they lost no time in building up an extensive repertoire of their own composition. An early highlight of their pop career came with “Shoot”, a song they had written specifically for the ice hockey world championship of 2009 and which they were invited to perform to a great reception in front of 15’000 ice hockey fans at the Berne Arena. An even greater step forward came in 2012 when Sinplus were chosen to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Azerbaijan, with their song “Unbreakable”. They failed to reach the final – but 50’000 downloads, 3 million youtube hits, 280’000 Spotify streams and 12’000 facebook friends tell their own story.

“Up to Me” was produced in London’s 140db Studios. The album, say the brothers Broggini, carries a message. It is this: “Whatever I do, if it’s good or bad, it will always be UP TO ME!!! Make the most of it and enjoy!”
