IVO earns further US award
Baltic Song Contest winner IVO is flying high. His current single “I Will Bleed For You” took top honours at the International Acoustic Music Awards, whose jury is composed of A&R managers of the major labels (Sony BMG, EMI, Universal and Warner Music). Hundreds of songs are submitted every year in five categories (Country, Folk, Instrumental, Alternative and Open) and assessed on the basis of composition, text, production and originality. IVO scored in what is probably the toughest category, “Open”. These newest laurels have now been added to his Just Plain Folks Award for best concert video in 2009 and invitation to open the AVO Session in October, where he reaped a standing ovation and was declared one of the event’s six highlights. IVO’s award-winning single can be heard on his current album Live & Acoustic (available at http://www.cede.ch or iTunes).
