Swiss Artists @ Les Trois Baudets, Paris: Jérémie Kisling and Régis – 15 March / Jonas – 30 March

The French Swiss rapper/chansonier Jonas will bring his new programme, „Oxymore“, to the legendary Paris venue Les Trois Baudets on 30 March.

Jonas is a storyteller first and foremost. Whilst his ryhmes do rhyme, and his delivery is definitely closer to the conventions of rap than to singing, the stories he tells are firmly rooted in the tradition of Jacques Brel or even John Cooper Clarke. An understated sense of humour and irony is an important feature of Jonas’s music, and its innovative musicality another: accompanied by subtle band composed mostly of organic instruments, he incorporates elements of jazz, swing, rock, and even a touch of West African melodies. The album „Oxymore“, Jonas’s second, appeared to great acclaim in October 2015.
