Klaus Johann Grobe touring Germany

Word about the confusingly named Klaus Johann Grobe – a duo consisting of Sevi Landolt (organ/synth/vocals) and Daniel Bachmann (drums/vocals) – has quickly spread since the release last summer of their strikingly original debut album „Im Sinne der Zeit“ on Chicago-based Trouble in Mind Records.

Already featured in Pitchfork and fresh off a UK tour supporting the Temples, theirs is at present one of the most frequently dropped names when artists in the UK or US are asked to come up with a „tip for the top“. Klaus Johann Grobe somehow manage to sound both deeply futuristic and experimental as well as easy on the ear and hypnotic with their blend of cheesy-listening, psychedelic improvisation, sunny singing and strangely non-German German lyrics.

Before and after dropping in on the Eurosonic Noorderslag Festival, the Klaus Johann Grobe bug can be caught on a ten-date tour of Germany, and one stop-off in Luxembourg! Don’t miss them: having played nearly sixty gigs in 2014 alone, the band is a fearsomely well-honed live-beast by now.
