Swiss Music Export at the MaMA Event 15 – 17 October 2014

The MaMA festival and conference is without a doubt one of the most glamorous events in the yearly music business calendar. Taking place in two legendarily picturesque areas of Paris, Montmartre and Pigalle, the event attracts nearly 4000 music business professionals from 61 countries, representing major record labels as well as indies, concert venues, festivals, promoters, managers, publishers, broadcasters and, of course, the media. 40 panels with 150 speakers in total are spread across three locations during the day. In the evening, 100 artists will be performing in 20 different venues.

Once again, the traditional Swiss Music Business Mixer is a mustn’t-miss event at the MaMA festival. The perfect mix of fine business, fine food and fine music, of offers an excellent opportunity to meet Swiss music professionals. Guests will also enjoy showcase performances by two upcoming Swiss acts, Stevans and From Kid.

Geneva-based electro power rock outfit Stevans are the brainchild of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Yann Franel. Recently signed to the French record label R17, their third album “Rupture” will be released in October.

From Kid are Andin Berchtold and Gian Reto Camenisch from the Chur area in the East of Switzerland. Using only guitar, synths and their two voices, theirs is a finely spun take on singer/songwriterly folktronica coupled with a catchy chorus or two.
