SWISS BUSINESS MIXER „ZÜRICH TRIFFT BERLIN“

Not content with organising a simple “business mixer” event, Swiss MusicExport together with City of Zurich Kultur will be presenting a whole “Swiss afternoon” on September 4th at this year’s Berlin Music Week, complete with panel discussions, showcase performances and – of course! – Raclette.

Switzerland might be a small country, but it is still an important market for European artists in general and German artists in particular. With its great number of festivals and extensive network of live venues, Switzerland’s live scene offers an extremely attractive palette of possibilities. Our panels will present the diverse survival strategies adopted by the various players in the Swiss market. They will focus especially on the question how European artists can profit from these special circumstances.

In the first panel “Switzerland – Land of Festivals”, Swiss festival bookers will present their programming strategies and give an inside view of their respective events. In a second panel, “Meet the Zurich Club Scene”, club promoters from Zurich will be discussing the importance of the music scene for Zurich and the interaction with their Berlin partners.

After the two panels, there will be live sets by the unique, Crammed-signed OY – the duo of Joy Frempong and Lleluja-Ha – and the young band Wolfman (both will also be performing at the m4music night at Postbahnhof). As has become a great and popular tradition, a proper Swiss cheese Raclette will also be served, together with the appropriate libations.

Applicants via Swiss Music Export will receive a special discount for the festival ticket! For more information and to receive the Promotional Code please contact jaska@swiss-music-export.com.
