Will we take Mary Middlefield as she is?
Swiftly rising indie-rocker Mary Middlefield who can do loud just as convincingly as quiet, makes another giant step towards world-domination with her latest album, her third. Entitled “Will You Take Me as I Am”, it was recorded between London and Switzerland and contains collaborations with, amongst others, Anna Borkenhagen, Gwen Buord and producer Jim Abbiss (Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Birdy and many more).
Fearlessly confronting difficult emotions, she has this to say about her new collection of songs: “Will You Take Me as I Am is a record born from my constant need for validation and love. The kind that doesn’t come with instructions or conditions. It comes from always reaching outward to feel chosen, reassured, wanted, and from the quiet fear that without that reassurance, I micht disappear … At its core, this record is one long question: to an audience, to a lover, to a friend, and to myself: if I unveil everything…will you take me as I am?”
Having turned plenty of heads at events like the Glastonbury Festival, Reeperbahn Festival, m4music and the Paris Summer Olympics, Mary Middlefield is celebrating the release with a spring tour of the UK, France, Germany and Switzerland.
