Printemps de Bourges with SME

It’s spring time again! What better way to celebrate than to sample the best and newest the Francophone music scene has to offer at the Printemps de Bourges-Festival slap bang in the middle of France. Swiss Music Export, for one, would not want to miss this wonderful event. And, once again, we are proud to be able to announce that we won’t be the only representatives from Switzerland travelling to Bourges. The rising electro-pop star La Colère has been invited to take part in the Printemps’s showcase for the most promising new talents, les iNOUïS du Printemps. Baby Volcano, meanwhile, will present her stunning live show as a part of the main festival programme. Swiss Music Export will also be present at the popular networking event, Rendez-Vous des Antennes.

Swiss performances

La Colère

Originally heading towards a career as a jazz and classical singer, Geneva-based La Colère radically changed her musical course after discovering the music of Röyksopp. Writing, producing and performing her multi-layered electro-pop-textures all by herself, she started off with brightly-coloured synth-pop tunes but has moved towards a much more complex, deeper and hypnotic mood with her latest EP, “Electrum”.

The creation of Swiss-Guatemalan performer and singer Lorena Stadelmann, Baby Volcano’s beguilingly spooky music takes the staple ingredients of hip-hop in order to subvert the genre with an eerie sense of melody and deconstructed rhythm. Truly, her live performance has to be seen to be believed!
