The Swiss at Le Printemps – 19 – 24 April 2022, Bourges France

At last, the Printemps de Bourges – one of Swiss Music Export’s very favourite boutique festivals – returns to real life! First staged in 1977, the Printemps is here to support all forms of Francophone music. This year, the French part of Switzerland is represented by four acts: Psycho Weazel, Flèche Love, Vendredi Sur Mer, and Mara.

Psycho Weazel are the DJ and producer duo of Ivo Roxo and Léo Besso. Warmth, humour, chansonesque melodies and a soft spot for italo-disco are the main ingredients of their knowing louche music.

Maison de la Culture (Salle Pina Bausch) – 20:00

Four years ago, Fleche Love – aka Amina Cadelli, once the voice of post-Balkan-techno crew Kadebostany – was invited to present her unique brand of hallucinogenic trip-hot at the Printemps’s showcase for the most promising new talents, les iNOUïS du Printemps. This year, alongside six more one-time iNOUïS-participants, she has been invited back for a show specially devised for, and during, this festival, entitled “Qu’est ce qu’on attend!”.

Multi-talented 25-year-old Genevan Charline Mignot aka Vendredi sur Mer is equally at home in the worlds of photography, fashion and music. She describes her music as “glacial electro pop”.

Mara’s raunchy melange of R&B, digi-dancehall beats and enthusiastically sexy lyrics is not a million miles away in style from Cardi B. Clearly, however, Mara is very much her own woman with her own style.
