Louis Jucker Does Something Right

“Something Went Wrong” is the rather misleading title of singer/songwriter and self-proclaimed “punk-activist” Louis Jucker’s latest album. It was released on 30 October on Hummus Records, a label founded by Jucker himself with the purpose of supporting like-minded artists and friends, in, around and way beyond his hometown, the small watch-making city of La-Chaux-de-Fonds on the edge of the Jura.

“Something Went Wrong” follows barely four months after Jucker’s last album, a more-or-less-live set recorded with the band, Coilguns. He describes “Something Went Wrong” as a “self-portrait in ten songs to face his own ageing with humility” in a selection of “simple and direct folk and rock songs played with unaltered love for lo-fi sounds”.
