More Drama with Kadebostany
Having released not just a new EP, “Drama – Act 1”, in April, but also a sumptuous 20 minute video to go with all four tracks of the EP, the Genevan mavericks follow this up on 29 May 2020 with another EP, “Versions & Variations”. “Versions & Variations”, it won’t come as a great surprise to hear, will contain acoustic, live and other versions of songs from “Drama”.
Kadebostany have come a long way from their raggle-taggle Balkan techno polka beginnings to the purveyors of sophisticated widescreen technicolour music drama with more than 150’000 YouTube subscribers that they are today. “I like to divide my work into ‘eras’”, Guillaume de Kadebostany told online magazine Vents. “I like to renew these eras from one album to another, never doing the same thing twice. “Drama” is the 4th era of the Republic of Kadebostany, a fictive state I created ten years ago in which I’m the president”. For his latest incarnation of the band, Guillaume de Kadebostany has enlisted the services of four new singers, Irina Rimes, KAZKA, Fang the Great, and Célia.
