A Taste of Swiss Music @ Les Recontres Transmusicales de Rennes – 4 – 8 December 2019 – Rennes, France

One more festival to go before the end of the decade – aptly, it’s one of the most interesting, charming and entertaining events in our yearly itinerary. Launched in 1979, les Transmusicales have unwaveringly pursued their original aims ever since. These include a commitment to showcasing emerging artists, and to support originality and experimentation. Swiss Music Export, needless to say, is more than happy to be part of such a laudable enterprise.

Putting our money where the mouth is, Swiss Music Export, in collaboration with FCMA and under the banner of “A Taste of Swiss Music”, is once again presenting a musical showcase at les Transmusicales, complete with an irresistible selection of chocolate, wine and cheese, to whet the appetite for the rich buffet of sounds currently being served up in Switzerland.

A Taste of Swiss Music
Friday 6. December 2019
16:00 – 18:00 at L’UBU

LIVE ACTS
L’Eclair
The strangely named instrumental six-piece are disciples of the groove, listing as their spare time listening pleasures the likes of Funkadelic, Sly Stone, Tim Maia, Ash Ra and Piero Piccioni.

Amami
Signed to Bongo Joe Records and fronted by the singer Inès Mouzoune, the Geneva-based three-piece blend afro-beat, dancehall and North African influences to create their own unique style of global electro pop.

Anyone with a festival pass is cordially invited, nay, urged, to treat themselves to a taste of Swiss music. In order to receive the necessary accreditation, please click the following link.

Besides our own showcase, we can heartily recommend another Swiss act playing at Les Transmusicales as part of the official programme:

Ozadya
Saturday, 7 December 2019
23:00 at Hall 4 Green Room Parc Expo

A collective of beatmakers, DJs, rappers, VJs and graphic designers, Ozadya have become a powerful force in Geneva’s burgeoning music scene. Live, they mix Brazilian baile funk and trap WITH afro-electro, oriental house and other tropical rhythms.
