Exploring the Francophone music scene with Voix de Fète Genève 20 – 26 March 2017, Geneva

Now in its 19th year, the Voix de Fête conference/festival is a celebration of music-making in the Francophone world. With its policy that 40% of the live acts should be up-and-coming artists from Switzerland, it is also designed to create a platform for home-grown talents to present their work to a large number of visiting professionals from all over Europe.

As ever, Swiss Music Export is playing a prominent role in supporting Swiss artists at the Voix de Fête Festival. Coordinating the attendance at the festival of a number of business representatives from French-speaking countries, it is an SME priority to bring together promoters, managers and other business representatives from abroad with their Swiss counterparts to facilitate the fruitful exchange of ideas, views and visions.

Amongst the forums and showcases programmed for Voix de Fète Genève, Swiss Music Export is participating in the two discussion “salons” for professionals, the first on Friday 24 March, a second on Saturday 25 March. More than 200 guests are expected to take part in these. Alongside FCMA, SME will also play an active part in several other events, including “Vitrines découvertes” (Friday 12:30 – 15:30, Saturday 14:30 – 16:30), “salons des exposants” (Friday 15:30 – 17:30, Saturday 14:30 – 16:30), “professionals apéro” (Friday and Saturday) and “French mon amour” (Friday and Saturday). The venues of these events are to be confirmed nearer to the date.

Here’s the list of Swiss artists scheduled to appear at Voix de Fête, Geneva: Adieu Gary Cooper, Aliose, Brel au suivant, Eugène, Jaaq, Jo2Plainp, Kaceo, Last Minute Panic, Leo Walden, Les troubadours du chaos, Macao, Manu pour les intimes, Noga et Patrick Bebey, Pandour, Sandor, Samia Tawil, Thierry Romanens et Format A’3, Fabian Tharin.
