Swiss bands on the road

Several Swiss acts are going to be very busy in the next few months, touring various corners of Europe.

First off are Serafyn from Basel. The three women with their acoustic guitars, celli and gentle voices will be supporting the veteran singer/songwriter Tanita Tikaram on a 15-date tour of Germany, Switzerland and Austria, followed, in April, by their own tour of Switzerland. A new single was released on 4 March 2016 via Reelmusic / Believe Digital / Wintrup.

Sons of Morpheus from Basel are a high octane guitar/drums/bass. Firmly rooted in the tradition of heavy, riff-laden blues rock, they recorded their last album in the USA. Clearly, they struck up a few friendships whilst there. Starting on 12 March in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland, and ending on 30 April in Fribourg, again in Switzerland, they will be supporting the American stoner rock band Karma to Burn on their European tour. The tour will be stopping off at no fewer than forty venues, taking in France, the UK, Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland.

Carrousel – aka Sophie Burande and Léonard Gogniat from canton Jura, both originally acordionists  – continue to tour in support of their third album „L’Euphorie“ which was released Europe-wide on the German Jazzhaus Records label in January. After their „Wohnzimmer“-tour of Germany throughout February, they will be off to Austria, Germany and Eastern Europe for nine dates in March, then, in April, they will be back in Germany for another nine dates.

Puts Marie, the high-octane indie/chanson outfit from Biel, continue their never-ending tour of Europe with two dates at the Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris (30 and 31 March 2016) followed by twenty more gigs throughout the month of April in France, Germany and Switzerland.
