Mya Audrey signs with Royal Flame Music/22d Music Group
Mya Audrey is a pianist and singer/songwriter in the tradition of Carole King, albeit with a slightly jazzier touch. In 2009, she released her self-produced debut album “Sudden Breeze”. It caused enough of a ripple to attract a fine group of musicians to help record her second album, “Wayfaring Trails” (Sophie Records/Irascible), including Luk Zimmermann (Lunik), Roy Knauf (Seeed, Deichkind) and Thomsen Merkel (Mark Forster, Julia Mercell).
Last spring, Mya Audrey decided to spread her wings and relocate from Switzerland to Berlin. Already, the move has paid dividends way above her expectations. Recently, Mya signed an international publishing and label deal with Royal Flame Music /22d Music Group. The company also has artists like Seal, Daft Punk, Woodkid and Mylene Farmer on its books. “When I went to Berlin, I never thought things would be happening so quickly,” says Mya. “I’m so happy to be part of the Royal Flame family and I’m really looking forward to my first international release, my new album in spring 2014.”
Mya Audrey will be performing live @ Bar Tausend, Berlin on 22 January. The concert will be filmed for a live video.
