Fresh from winning two Swiss Music Awards for “Best Album Urban National” and “Best Act Romandie”, the outrageously gifted and young singer songwriter Bastian Baker makes a swift return to France where he last toured only a few months ago to great acclaim. Baker released his very first single, the bouncy, folky and aptly titled “Lucky”, when he was only 19 years old in March 2011. It became a top 30 hit in Switzerland. His debut album “Tomorrow May Not Be Better”, bursting with catchy choruses and boyish charm, came out six months later and reached the top 3 both in the German and the French Swiss charts – a rare feat for a home-grown artist as the markets are quite different in many ways. The album was well-received when it gained a French release in April 2012, and his media presence was further enhanced by the single release of his version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” which brought him his first top 20 hit in France.

Having already sold out a concert at La Cigale in Paris, Bastian Baker will step up another gear with a date on 24 April at l’ Olympia in Paris. This concert is part of a 17-date tour of France and Belgium with his full band. In March, Bastian Baker also played two US shows in Los Angeles and Washington.

Supporting Bastian Baker on this tour is another Swiss band supported by Swiss Music Export, 77 Bombay Street.
