Important:
* Unfortunately, we are in a process of transformation and are unable to accept any applications for Business Support at the moment. This will last until the end of 2024. We apologise for the inconvenience. *

Applications for «Business Support» can be submitted for Promotion and marketing activities that support a release (single, EP, album, video) abroad. This should raise awareness of Swiss artists on music and video streaming services and pave the way for the time when music life will ramp up again.

The application must include a viable plan and motivation for the activities abroad, as well as a list of current partners (agencies, distributors, etc.). A detailed budget, including funding from other supporters and self-funding, must be included. The pdf form serves as a guideline, but further information may also be enclosed.

The «Business Support» programme is aimed at both artists and structures (e.g. labels). In the case of applications from labels, however, it must be explained which artists are to benefit from the activities and to what extent.

Swiss Music Export continues to concentrate its efforts on Europe, with a special focus on French- and German-speaking markets, and on «pop» music in its widest possible definition. SME expects a substantial personal contribution from the artist and/or his/her representatives in any venture it supports.

Tour support: Anyone seeking support specifically for a tour outside Switzerland should contact one of the organisations supporting SME, such as Pro Helvetia, FONDATION SUISA, the Schweizerische Interpretenstiftung SIS, and any municipal and cantonal funding agencies that might be relevant.

Application  for «Business Support»:

An application will only be considered if it is sent by e-mail and accompanied by our fully completed application form. There are no deadlines, and applications are welcomed at any time. However, we strongly recommend to contact one of our offices for a preliminary talk before an application is made.

The final decision about the support of a project rests entirely with the SME management team. There is no automatic right to receive support from SME.
