Alors…Chante! Festival to feature many Swiss artists
K, Béatrice Graf & Sophie solo, Derf and Guermano, Noga, Sarah Olivier, Thierry Romanens and Zedrus have all been invited to play the Alors…Chante! Festival in Montauban this year, from 10 to 16 May 2010.
Lunik album release goes international
Lunik followed up the release of a new single, “People Hurt People”, out in mid-April in the UK and Europe, with their album “Small Lights In The Dark”, on 30 April in the UK and May through June in Italy, Germany, Spain and Greece. The French release is planned for autumn, with Japan, Australia, USA and Canada close behind.
Triptykon release album
Swiss band Triptykon, headed by Tom Gabriel Warrior (Celtic Frost/Hellhammer), released “Eparistera Daimones” on their own label (Prowling Death Records) this past March.
Swiss Artists playing at major Festivals in Switzerland
This summer, the Gurtenfestival, Paléo and Open Air St. Gallen feature plenty of Swiss bands, with quotas between 25% (Paléo) and 50% (Gurten)! Swiss Music Export is taking full opportunity of the occasion and organizing the relevant business events and showcases: at the Gurtenfestival there will be guests from Germany and Austria in the audience when Swiss bands take the stage, and will be around to press the flesh afterwards, and at the Paléo Festival SME will join Fondation CMA in welcoming French colleagues and putting on special showcases.
Sophie Hunger: Release «1983» and Tour Dates
Sophie Hunger’s new album «1983», released in Switzerland on 26 March, is set to appear in stores in France on 12 April (Universal), and in Germany, Austria, the Benelux and Scandinavian countries on 16 April (Indigo); UK release is planned for June. The new album is a real departure from the sound of her début CD, Monday’s Ghost, and proves her capacity for swift: with sound engineer Stephane Briat (Phoenix, Air), multi-instrumentalist Hunger has created a quadrilingual work that is not just another singer/songwriter production, but a veritable reinvention: indeed, a liberation.

On 13 April, Anna Aaron will appear on radio France Inter’s renowned series „Le Fou du Roi“, moderated by Stéphane Bern, and on 17 April she will play Printemps de Bourges as part of its „Découvertes Chanson“ feature showcasing new talent.
