Lunik on RAI NEWS 24 and in The Times
Swiss band Lunik are featured on Italy’s major TV station (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXFKpUeA2Ek) and are the subject of a flattering write-up in The Times. The British newspaper of record portray them as ambassadors of Swiss pop, and predict their "sparkling tunes" will help “the rest of the world … overcome its prejudices” and foster international interest in Helvetian music.
Famara to release new album on 30 July
As of Friday, 30 July 2010 Famara’s new CD The Sound of Famara will be available in Germany and the rest of Europe.

Review of “Sounds of Switzerland” showcase event at Sonar in Playgroundmag.net
“Switzerland is not a very well-loved country of late,” claims Playgroundmag.net, adducing the outsiders’ surprise upset against the Spanish side at the World Cup in South Africa as the reason for the animus. “Nevertheless,” it goes on, “all our repressed anger at chocolate and cuckoo clocks vanished upon seeing the duo Round Table Knights in action,” and has words of praise for other Swiss talent as well. “For now, we’ll let Gelson Fernandes live.”

Triptykon wins Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for “inspiration”
On 14 June 2010, on the occasion of the 8th Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards ceremony at the Indigo2/O2 Arena in London, the prize for inspiration was presented to Triptykon singer/guitarist Tom Gabriel Warrior (formerly of Hellhammer and Celtic Frost) by Lee Dorrian of Napalm Death/Cathedral, a friend of the Swiss outfit.

OY has been selected as a "Swiss discovery" for the Eurockéennes from 2 to 4 July 2010.
The festival has this to say about Joy Frempong, the voice behind OY: “Here’s one of Switzerland’s best-kept secrets: a lovely Ghanaian performer singing a nostalgic medley of jazz et hip hop.”
